On 27th August 2024, the Office on Missing Persons Sri Lanka commemorated the International Day of the Disappearances 2024. The event was graced by Hon. Minister of Justice M.U.M. Ali Sabry PC, Hon.Attorney General, Diplomats, UN, ICRC, and attended by families of the missing persons, and key stakeholders. This event aimed to build trust in OMP's mechanisms and support the families of missing persons. The ceremony included lighting the "Light of Hope" candle and a two-minute silence to honor the missing. This day serves as a reminder of our duty to pursue justice, transparency, and the right to know the fate of the disappeared
